Job Description

Hartford Rentals is seeking a driven and dependable Assistant Community Manager to join our growing team at a 208-unit LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) community. We’re looking for a strong professional who understands the importance of people, performance, and compliance in creating a thriving community.

About the Role:

The Assistant Community Manager will work directly with the Community Manager to oversee daily operations, leasing performance, and tax credit compliance. This individual should be comfortable working in a high-traffic environment and take pride in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in property management or multifamily housing
  • At least 1 year of LIHTC/tax credit experience
  • Strong sales and leasing background with proven ability to meet goals
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience using property management software
  • Excellent communication, organization, and people skills
  • A positive attitude with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support leasing efforts and help achieve occupancy goals
  • Process applications, certifications, and renewals in accordance with LIHTC guidelines
  • Assist with resident relations and retention programs
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with audits or inspections
  • Uphold Hartford Rentals’ standards for professionalism, customer service, and community appearance
