Schedule: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Central Time Lunch Break: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Central Time Receptionist (Bilingual: English/Spanish) Is our law firm the right fit for you?  Are you passionate about supporting immigrants and ready to make a real impact? What to expect: You'll work from home and can be located anywhere in the world, but you must work our central time schedule with undivided attention. You'll need a quiet space, fast internet, and the discipline to stay on task without close supervision. This is a full-time commitment where excellence is required. You must be flexible - the nature of tasks may change daily as we're a fast-growing company constantly optimizing our service delivery. Additionally, all employees, including those based outside the United States, are off work on all U.S. federal holidays (11). You will not be off on non-U.S. holidays, but will be compensated in line with your country’s laws for work done on local holidays. Responsibilities: As a Virtual Receptionist, you will perform a variety of administrative tasks and client communication duties to support our mission. Your core responsibilities include: Client Communications: • Answer and place phone calls in both English and Spanish, ensuring everyone has an excellent experience with the firm • Track, maintain, update, and communicate with prospective clients • Return phone calls and reply to emails from leads • Follow communication scripts and use knowledge of the company's services to go off-script when necessary Billing Support: • Collect and process client payments, ensuring accurate entry into the billing system • Send payment reminders and follow up with clients on outstanding balances • Provide receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations to clients as needed • Generate monthly reports detailing client balances, including outstanding amounts, remaining installment payments, and total amounts due Administrative Support: • Perform various administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, handling incoming mail, and submitting packets to immigration agencies • Engage with our audiences on various social media platforms, ensuring timely responses to information requests • Recommend improvements for systems and processes to boost organizational efficiency You will not need substantive knowledge of U.S. immigration law, but you must master our standard operating procedures for servicing followers and dealing with clients. Qualifications: Required: • At least one year of professional experience handling high-volume calls in a call center or receptionist role • Excellent Spanish and English skills, with strong conversational and professional communication in both languages • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills • Tech-focused skills and eagerness to learn new online systems and procedures • Empathetic approach to client service • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform at a high level with minimal supervision • Judgment and discretion in all interactions Preferred: • Experience in a U.S. immigration law firm (not required) • Familiarity with billing practices, such as handling client payments or preparing payment reports • Familiarity with CRM platforms and client data management About Company: Political Asylum Lawyers is a Houston-based law firm that helps immigrants all over the country secure their future in the United States through asylum.
