Billing Specialist (Contract) — On-Site | Denton, TX

Location: Denton, TX 76207

We’re hiring a Billing Specialist to help manage a growing backlog in our client's billing department. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and looking for a role where your contributions will make an immediate impact, this is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing team in the construction services space.

What You’ll Do

• Process invoices based on field activity reports using Excel templates and internal billing software (ViewPoint — no prior experience required).
• Compare billing reports to field files and correct data as needed.
• Communicate with operations to ensure invoices reflect accurate revenue classification.
• Manage and prioritize high volumes of repetitive tasks, handling 50–75 invoices per week after training.
• Export, edit, and organize Excel spreadsheets to ensure clean data entry into customer portals.
• Support team members with general billing tasks and assist during high-volume periods.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy .
• Ability to prioritize deadlines , stay organized, and manage repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Intermediate Excel skills: copy/paste, basic formulas, sorting, filtering . VLOOKUPs and pivot tables are a plus but not required.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and Teams for day-to-day communication and collaboration.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn — no degree or industry experience required . We provide full training.

Bonus Experience (Nice to Have)

• Background in billing, accounting, or data entry.
• Experience working with billing or ERP software (though we will train you on ViewPoint).
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Training & Office Expectations

• Initial on-site training in Fort Worth 2 days per week for the first 3–4 weeks (flexible depending on office move).
• After training, this role is fully on-site in Denton, TX .
• Start date: ASAP — we’re ready to move quickly and are already preparing workstations.
