Mid = $27.25
Max = $32.70
Summary The Communications Technician performs routine technical duties, maintains, constructs, and repairs the equipment used for electronic communications, cable televisions, satellites, wireless devices, phones, radio, and broadband equipment; works on fiber optic lines, transmitters, antennas, and signal processing equipment; designs and installs equipment used for electronic communications, cable televisions, satellites, wireless devices, phones, radio, and broadband equipment.
Responsibilities Provides support to end users and their devices that utilize our various electronic communication system in a 24 x 7 production environment; maintains inventory and stock, recommends purchase of both technical and nontechnical supplies, and takes responsibility for tools and test equipment.
Plans and coordinates work efforts with various vendors and service providers for construction initiatives, remodels and organization growth; reads and interprets service orders, maps, blueprints, diagrams, technical drawings (i.e., mechanical, electrical, digital), etc.
Assists with installation, programming, and maintenance of electronic communication systems; installs, repairs, splices, tests, and terminates various forms of telecommunications and electrical wiring and cabling (e.g. copper, fiber, coax, etc.); assists in the installation, modification, testing and servicing of voice and/or data communication/ telecommunication (PBX, Voice Mail, CMS, and all other peripheral and ancillary equipment).
Provides analysis and reports for Leadership with Nurse Calls systems and other electronic communication systems.
Assist with process improvement initiative by making suggestions and providing guidance based on the analytics taken from our electronic communication systems.
Minimum Qualifications - Education: HS DIPLOMA/GED
- Experience: 1+ years related experience
