🌟 Companion Caregiver Needed — Gentle Support for a Kind Gentleman with Alzheimer’s (Rochester Hills area)
Schedule: Wednesday,Thursday,Friday  3:00pm – 7:00pm

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide calm, consistent support to a friendly gentleman affected by Alzheimer’s disease. This is a part-time, afternoon position offering meaningful connection and a steady routine that helps him remain safe, dignified, and comfortable in his own home.
📍  Location: Rochester Hills — just a few minutes from Henry Ford Health Rochester Hospital
💲  Pay: $14–$17 per hour (based on experience and training)

💙 About the Role
You’ll spend each afternoon helping this client transition smoothly into his evening routine.
Key responsibilities include:

• Offering friendly companionship and gentle cueing for daily tasks
• Engaging in conversation — especially about  sports , which he enjoys watching and discussing
• Accompanying him on  daily walks and  outings to the OPC (Older Persons’ Commission)for light activities or social time
• Providing safe and reliable  transportation to and from activities
• Supporting light meal prep and evening setup
• Providing discreet assistance with a catheter bag change (training provided)
• Incorporating 60’s music and conversation to keep the routine upbeat and familiar
• Ensuring a safe environment and assisting as he moves upstairs for the evening
• Following a structured, person-centered routine

🌻 Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is:

• Patient, calm, and reliable , with a genuine respect for seniors and their independence
• Experienced with  memory loss or Alzheimer’s care
• Comfortable offering  dignified personal support (no hands-on bathing required)
• A  sports fan who enjoys watching and chatting about games
• Enjoys  walking and light outdoor activity
• Able to  transport clients safely to local activities (valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current auto insurance, and registration required; clean driving record a must)
• Skilled at gentle redirection and positive communication
• A great listener who can bring warmth and reassurance to each visit
