Special Education Elementary Educational Technicians

Multiple locations across the District

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Educational Technicians to join our team and provide support to students with academic and/or medical needs. In this role, you will assist in the classroom setting by supporting students with their academic and functional progress as impacted by skills deficits and health-related needs. Responsibilities may include supporting academic progress, reteaching, managing medical needs, providing assistance with daily tasks, and working closely with teachers to ensure students' success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with accessing and making progress in the general education curriculum
  • Assist students with executive functioning skills such as task initiation, task completion, movement breaks, and emotional regulation
  • Assist students with medical needs and support their health-related requirements throughout the school day
  • Help students stay engaged in the classroom activities and provide academic support as needed
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to implement individualized learning and care plans

Qualifications:

  • MDOE Educational Technician Certification -  required
  • MDOE Fingerprinting and Background Check -  required
  • CNA certification -  preferred
  • Experience in healthcare or education, preferably with children -  preferred
  • Ability to provide health care and instructional support in an educational environment -  preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills -  preferred
