Job Description

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Two years of experience regulating enforcement complaints at the local, state or federal level. Additional experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis.
Recruitment Notes
The incumbent in this role supervises a team of environmental inspectors who conduct regular and complaint-driven inspections of permitted and unpermitted facilities and properties, operating under specific and general conditions outlined in state and local environmental protection laws.
Responsibilities include following enforcement procedures as required to achieve compliance, creating and maintaining open communication channels with stakeholders at the federal, state, county, and municipal levels to discuss environmental compliance issues. Additional responsibilities involve providing educational outreach to the community on various environmental topics, developing and implementing work plans for field assessments in areas of environmental concern, reviewing and approving inspection reports and related documents, implementing changes in operational procedures when necessary, and managing resources efficiently to achieve goals established by the Division in accordance with the respective business plan.
