The Fort Duchesne Health Center, part of Indian Health Services (IHS), is hiring a full-time Contract Optometrist to join our team in the scenic and culturally rich area of Fort Duchesne, Utah.
This IHS facility plays a vital role in addressing the distinct health and social needs of the reservation community, blending modern healthcare with traditional values. As part of our dedicated team, you'll contribute to essential public health services, including nursing, social work, mental health, nutrition education, and substance abuse support, helping improve lives across generations.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for providing full-scope primary eye care independently delivering high-quality, comprehensive exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans without the support of technicians or nurses. Your scope will include:
