Direct Reports: Recruiter, Administrative Specialist

We are seeking a collaborative and strategic HR Manager to lead our growing HR team. This role will oversee the Recruiter and Administrative Specialist while serving as a trusted partner to the CEO and leadership team. The HR Manager will be responsible for driving HR strategy, ensuring compliance, enhancing culture, and building programs that attract, engage, and retain top talent.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Manage, coach, and support the Recruiter and Administrative Specialist, ensuring alignment with company goals and performance expectations.
  • Partner directly with the CEO and leadership team to design and implement HR strategies that support organizational growth and culture.
  • Lead by example as a culture champion, reinforcing Parasol Alliance’s values of transparency, accountability, and collaboration.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Provide oversight of recruitment strategies, ensuring the Recruiter is delivering strong candidate pipelines and a positive candidate experience.
  • Partner with leaders to forecast workforce needs and develop hiring plans.
  • Ensure the recruitment process aligns with Parasol’s “Happiest IT Company” culture and employer brand.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, addressing HR questions and concerns with fairness and empathy.
  • Lead initiatives that support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and retention.
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen culture through ongoing feedback, training, and programs.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Onboard employees and run new employee onboarding sessions.
  • Off board employees and run exit interviews.
  • Oversee HR policies, procedures, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Ensure effective administration of benefits, leave management, and performance management processes.
  • Review, update, and enforce employee handbook and HR policies.
  • Maintain and improve HR systems and data integrity.

Strategic HR Initiatives

  • Collaborate with the CEO on organizational development, succession planning, and leadership training.
  • Partner with leadership to create career development programs, leveraging Parasol Academy and mentorship opportunities.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that align with Parasol’s values and culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Current PHR or SHRM certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing HR staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in IT, senior living, or healthcare industries is a plus.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, ATS platforms, and Microsoft 365.
