We are seeking a Locums Hospitalist Physician to provide night shift coverage at a reputable medical facility in Suffolk, Virginia. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule and the chance to work with a dedicated inpatient team focused on delivering high-quality care to adult patients.
Position Overview
Shift:Night shift, 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Schedule:Flexible night shift availability
Patient Population:Adults (Inpatient)
Start Date: As soon as available
Duration:Ongoing locum tenens coverage
Key Responsibilities
·Manage admissions and provide cross-coverage for hospitalized adult patients during night shifts
·Respond to acute changes in patient conditions and coordinate care with specialists as needed
·Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity and quality of care
·Document all encounters and procedures accurately in the facility’s EMR system
·Participate in hand-off communications with the day team
Requirements
·Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
·Active Virginia medical license
·DEA license
·ACLS & BLS certifications
·Prior hospitalist or inpatient experience preferred
