Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance/Janitorial Supervisor.
Reports To: General Manager Justagame.
Location: Wisconsin Dells & Reedsburg Campuses.
Job Type: Full-Time / Weekends as Needed.

The Maintenance/Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of maintenance and custodial staff to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for all employees, visitors, and customers. This hands-on leadership role includes scheduling, inspecting work, ordering supplies, training team members, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.

• Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial and maintenance staff across all shifts.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs and delegate larger tasks to appropriate personnel or vendors.
• Develop and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules.
• Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, and federal safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory and order janitorial and maintenance supplies as needed.
• Address emergency maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, inspections, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with other departments for special event setups or maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of janitorial/maintenance experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning practices, maintenance procedures, and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

Experience managing budgets or vendor contracts.

This position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and the use of various tools and cleaning equipment. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
