Powder Coating Technician $24-$32/HR DOE Day Shift
Monday-Thursday
Occasional overtime as needed
Martin Door is seeking a skilled Powder Coating Technician to join our team, specializing in the coating of steel and aluminum components for residential and commercial garage doors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with powder coating processes, surface preparation, and the use of coating equipment to apply durable finishes that meet industry standards.
Responsibilities: - Apply powder coating to steel and aluminum components, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Prepare steel and aluminum surfaces for coating using various methods.
- Operate and maintain powder coating equipment (spray guns, curing ovens, etc.).
- Monitor the curing process to ensure correct temperature and time settings.
- Inspect coated steel for quality control and ensure it meets aesthetic and functional standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the coating process or equipment.
- Record and maintain acceptable water discharge standards.
- Maintain accurate records of each project, including coating thickness and any quality inspections.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations while handling materials.
Marginal Duties: - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Required Qualifications: - Proven experience in powder coating.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform quality control checks.
- Familiarity with powder coating equipment and surface preparation techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards (PPE, ventilation, fire safety, etc.).
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
Education and Experience: - Minimum 2 years of powder coating experience in a manufacturing setting.
