Position Overview and Responsibilities:
This is a highly technical, professional position that is responsible for providing technical geological and scientific support in the implementation of a statewide program for the assessment and remediation of Department of Defense (DOD) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) contamination sites. Provides Professional Geologist certification of comments or approvals of assessment related documents as appropriate. The duties of the position include the following:

The incumbent of this position, in accordance with sections 110.1127 and 435.04, Florida Statutes and DEP Directive 422, Background Investigations, is required to successfully complete a background and fingerprint check.
Applicable Job-Specific License or Certifications:
Must be a Florida Licensed Professional Geologist (Chapter 492 F.S.)
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of post-registration experience in the practice of geology.
