Salary: $65,000- $72,500 + equity

About The Role

Cumulus is looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Assistant to join the team and play a key role in building lasting customer relationships and driving revenue growth.

The Sales Assistant will support the sales team in daily operations, customer engagement, and administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to grow with a brand, work in a collaborative startup environment, and gain hands-on experience in a rapidly evolving market.

This is an in-person role, based at our NYC office, and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting with a service-first mentality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team with prospecting and acquiring new customers
  • Track sales metrics and prepare reporting
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of the office and showroom(s)
  • Serve as primary point of contact for building management and service providers
  • Manage meetings and event logistics; provide end to end support (e.g. administrative tasks, catering orders, greeting clients, setup and breakdown, etc.) ensuring a seamless experience for all guests
  • Provide high-touch executive meeting and sales support, including beverage service
  • Assist with the planning and execution of company-wide events, including conferences and tradeshows (occasional travel required)
  • Drive continuous improvement of the Cumulus workplace and proactively implement strategic changes to improve employee and guest experience

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM tools is a plus
  • An appreciation for cold coffee!

  • No, this role is entirely in office.

Are you open to someone who is planning to relocate?

  • Unfortunately, given the timeline, we are unable to consider applicants currently based outside of the NY Metro area.

How often would I need to work weekends?

  • It will vary depending on the time of year; however, it will not be every weekend!

Does this role require previous sales experience?

  • No, we are more concerned with attitude and aptitude than previous sales experience.

What if I just graduated from college and don’t have any official work experience?

  • Did you have any relevant internships? Did you work as a store associate or server at a restaurant in high school or college? Were you involved in campus activities (e.g. sorority or fraternity, sports, etc.)? Tell us about those experiences! This is an entry level position, so we do not expect you to come with years of work history.

What does the interview process consist of?

  • This will be a 4-part interview process that consists of:
  • [1] a virtual interview with our Head of Talent
  • [2] an in-person interview with our CC
  • [3] a short assignment
  • [4] an onsite interview where you’ll meet a few cross-functional partners and present your work to our CCO and CEO
