Twin Cities' based, Olsen Thielen & Co., Ltd., a progressive 100+ year-old CPA Firm with offices in Roseville and Eden Prairie, MN is currently seeking an experienced Seasonal 1040 Reviewer to join our team. If you have previous experience with reviewing individual tax returns at a public accounting firm and are looking for seasonal work, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Essential Functions:

• Ability to review basic to complex tax returns
• Assesses problem/issue materiality and interprets the implications for the client; understands client's tolerance for risk
• Actively participates in client meetings and tax planning efforts
• Sees the big picture for client's business; objectives and industry and thinks creatively to solve business problems as well as team conflict
• Communicates important tax developments affecting internal staff and clients
• Takes responsibility for client work being performed on time, appropriate scope of service and within budget
• Maintain a knowledge of general economic and political trends regarding potential tax or other legislation that affects the business/tax climate

Other Functions:

Tax staff should be familiar with IRS Circular 230 Regulations Governing the Practice of Attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Actuaries and Enrolled Agents Before the IRS and the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct. It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain a current awareness and understanding of and to fully comply with Olsen Thielen's code of ethics, independence rules and quality control practices.

Job Requirements:

• B.A./B.S. Degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of tax experience
• CPA certification a plus
• Strong technical tax consulting skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
