Located in the Nobu Hotel at Eden Roc, Nobu adds an extra level of class and sophistication to the iconic hotel. Nobu Miami now offers patio seating as well as an exclusive Teppan Room. JOB DESCRIPTION
Highly Acclaimed Nobu Miami Beach Restaurant is currently looking to expand our Culinary Team. We are looking for reliable, hardworking and professional Candidates to work AM/Lunch Shifts and Evening Dinner Shifts. All applicants must possess knowledge of restaurant kitchen procedures, basic knife skills and a solid understanding of food preparation and health code standards.
The Sushi Chef prepares food that meets current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures and ensures that safe and high quality food service is provided at all times. He or she prepares all types of Japanese Cuisine and must have superior knife skills. Our Sushi Chefs create exciting visual presentations while positively interacting with customers.
The ideal candidate for this position has at least one year of experience as a sushi chef, and knowledge of food safety and handling requirements. Formal culinary training is highly desired. Good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares food items to order following established recipes and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
- Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ year minimum experience as a Sushi Chef
- Formal culinary training a plus
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
