We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Group Fitness (based in one of the states we operate in - CA, AZ, NV, UT, TX, FL) to support our Executive Vice President of Group Fitness in leading and enhancing our group fitness programs across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for fitness, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving performance, innovation, and operational excellence in a group fitness environment. The Vice President of Group Fitness will report to the Executive Vice President of Group Fitness and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing fitness strategies, ensuring the growth of member engagement, and achieving company-wide group fitness goals. Additionally, this role will work closely with the Sales, Operations, and Facilities teams on various business aspects. Territory will be determined upon state of residence.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the EVP of Group Fitness to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of group fitness programs, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Will directly lead 3-6 regions through precise direction, and mentorship to a large team of fitness professionals, Regional & District managers, and Instructors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive member engagement, retention, and growth through group fitness offerings.
  • Oversee the design, enhancement, and diversification of group fitness programming to meet the needs of diverse member demographics.
  • Identify trends in fitness and wellness to keep programs fresh, relevant, and ahead of industry standards.
  • Ensure all fitness classes in territory are consistent with health and safety regulations and brand guidelines.
  • Analyze financial performance of group fitness programs, ensuring profitability and cost management without compromising quality.
  • Implement strategies to optimize revenue through class offerings, special events, and new programs.
  • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of group fitness instructors, managers, and coordinators.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment where staff are empowered to grow and succeed.
  • Develop and implement ongoing training programs for instructors to ensure they maintain the highest standards in group fitness instruction.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance the overall member experience, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fitness levels.
  • Engage with members directly through events, feedback, and consultations to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Monitor class attendance, member feedback, and engagement metrics to continuously improve the group fitness experience.
  • Collaborate with fitness, marketing, sales, and other departments to promote group fitness programs and drive member participation.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment between group fitness teams, other departments, and senior leadership.
  • Represent the group fitness division at leadership meetings and provide regular updates on performance, opportunities, and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in the fitness industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role overseeing group fitness operations.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Proven experience in program development, team leadership, financial management, and operational efficiency.
  • Certification from a recognized group fitness organizations (e.g., Les Mills, Zumba) additional certifications in specialized fitness areas (e.g., Yoga, HIIT) are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of group fitness trends, industry best practices, and the ability to adapt programs to meet changing demands.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lead group fitness classes if necessary.
  • Occasional lifting of materials related to fitness equipment and program setup.
  • Travel to gyms in multiple states is a requirement for this role.

$125,000

Schedule: Monday – Friday, weekends as needed
