DISCIPLINARY ACTION

The school will have the right to take disciplinary action against those students who break School Rules, show disrespect to Teachers/Administrative
Staff, or damage any school property. Any sort of bullying, violence, using abusive language, inflicting injury on self and others will not be tolerated and
students will be strictly punished for the same. Corporal punishments are discouraged, but other forms of punishment will be given. Parents must work
together with the School Management to bring improvement in the child’s behavior.

Students will be asked to leave the school for 

  1. Extreme cases of misbehavior cause self-harm or harm to other students or school staff & For unexplained absencefor more than seven days.
  2. Non-payment of school fees/dues within the stipulated time
CODE OF CONDUCT
A certain standard of conduct is expected from the teachers, the students and the parents. To sustain a healthy learning environment, it is important that these stake-holders acknowledge their respect responsibilities and conduct themselves accordingly. The Code of Conduct strives to provide a framework for orderly and purposeful education but with enjoyment and fellowship with peers as an added advantage. It indicates the broad standards of behavior that are expected of all parents and students at the school and encourages a responsible and self-disciplined approach, rather than a punitive one based on fear.
ATTENDANCE
  1. Students must be present in the school atleast 10 minutes prior to the bell.
  2. It is compulsory for all students to attend the Sanctuary in the morning.
  3. It is obligatory for the students to attend every class as per the time table.
  4. Any student falling short of 60% attendance will not be promoted at the end of the academic year.
  5. Parents are requested to verify the attendance of their ward regularly, especially during the parent-teacher meetings.

 

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

  1. A leave application duly signed by the parent or guardian should be sent preferably on the day of absence, but definitely through
    the child on the following day.
  2. For up to 2 days of leave, the parent needs to send a note in the Almanac and in case of more than 2 days; a leave application or an
    email has to be sent to the Principal with a medical certificate, where necessary.
  3. No child shall leave the school premises during regualr school hours. Half a day leave will not be allowed. No permissions will be
    granted via telephonic calls. Appointments with doctors and other engagements should not be fixed during school hours.
  4. Students suffering from any infectious disease must complete a quarantine period of 15 days before re-joining school, This should
    be indicated on the medical certificate.

  3. Monday to Friday – 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.(Second Saturday of every month is a holiday)

  2. Saturday – 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All Saturday working for the office
CODE OF CONDUCT - STUDENTS
  1. Be knowledgeable about discipline policies, regulations and rules.
  2. Follow school rules and contribute to a positive school climate by behaving appropriately even when not specifically asked to do so.
  3. School students should be respectful and courteous to fellow students, parents/guardians and teaching and non-teaching staff at all times.
  4. Unacceptable behavior including – irregular attendance, academic dishonesty, neglecting of homework, disruptive behavior, loitering around and
    disrespectful behavior towards staff or fellow students will result in serious disciplinary action.
  5. Punctuality is essential at all times; coming to school and attending the classes and activities.
  6. No student will remain on campus or in the classroom after the bell has been rung at dispersal or when the students have classes in other class
    rooms like Arts/P.E./Music/Dance/Yoga, etc..
  7. The students should not talk in the Sanctuary or during assembly in other areas in the school. They should conduct themselves with due respect
    during visits of dignitaries to the school. Bags, books, bottles and food are not allowed in the Sanctuary. They can carry books and pens only when specifically asked to do so.
  8. Students should approach someone in authority, should they have concerns about someone or some issues, rather than to their own independent
    actions.
  9. Students are forbidden to bring to school valuable articles such as jewelry, costly pens, mobile phones and other gadgets.
  10. Earrings should be small hoops or studs. Bangles, rings, bracelets, tattoos of any kind are not permitted.
  11. Students are not permitted to carry money to school except for lunch coupons, when applicable.
  12. Students are expected to act in a disciplined manner when travelling to and from school. No objects should be thrown or discarded from the
    vehicle. No kind of interaction with strangers or passers-by is allowed from the school vehicle
  13. Use of foul language, damaging school property and furniture by scribbling/scratching and any misbehavior in school buses will be strictly
    dealt with.
  14. Any form of bullying will result in a discipline committee review followed by serious action.
  15. Any misbehaviour or violation of school discipline will be dealt by the disciplinary committee and corrective action will be taken. In extreme cases, parents will be called in to discuss their child’s behavior and may lead to suspension or expulsion from the school.
  16. Students are instructed not to play in any other area except the playground. The cost of repairs caused by damage to school property will be charged to the concerned students.
  17. Any pupil who is persistently mischievous or guilty of malpractice in connection with examinations or has committed an act of serious indiscipline and/or misbehavior or who in the opinion of the Head of the Institution, has an unwholesome influence on his fellow pupils, may be expelled permanently or removed from the school for a specified period by the Principal.
  18. Students’ hair must be kept clean and tidy at all times.
    BOYS – Hair Length: Hair should not touch eyebrows (if pulled down), should not go over the ears or the collar and not longer than 5cm (if pushed up). Sideburns should not extend further than mid ear.
    GIRLS – They should make two plaits at all times. Those with short hair should use black hair bands to tie up their hair neatly.

 

  • NO LINES/CUTS/HAIR SPIKES/FRINGES ARE ALLOWED.
  • NO DYES/STREAKS/COLORS/HIGHLIGHTS ARE ALLOWED.
  • NO FANCY WATCHES, SMART WATCHES AND MOBILE PHONES WILL BE PERMITTED FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.
CODE OF CONDUCT - PARENTS
  1. Parents are expected to support the Principal, Teachers and Administration staff for the decisions taken by them in the best interest of their child.
  2. To assist the school in its smooth functioning, parents are requested to pay the school fees on time.
  3. All PTMs must be attended to punctually. Also, parents are encouraged to attend all the other school functions as well.
  4. Parents are not allowed to enter the Administration Block, except on PTM days.
  5. Parents are requested to read the School Almanac daily, sign it promptly and guide their wards in completing the given assignments and submitting them on time. Retain all the given circulars that are issued for reference purpose. This parental interest will be effective in the progress of the child.
  6. Any information that the parents need is to be gathered only from the school authorities.
  7. Parents must collect the report cards on the given dates only. Report cards will not be posted or sent through students/relatives.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
  1. It is mandatory for all parents to purchase the school uniform from the authorized dealer, set by the school. Students should come to school in the uniform specified.
  2. All girls from Nursery to Grade VII must wear Navy Blue/Black cycling shorts; black hair ribbons/two plaits/black hair bands.
  3. Shoes for all boys and girls – Black Sport Campus Shoes, Black Socks; Sports Shoes for P.E. – White sports campus shoes, White socks. (Shoes preferably with Velcro and socks should be of calf length.
  4. In winters, students are allowed to wear Navy Blue cardigan only.
  5. Students opting for lawn tennis may use the specified tennis shoes. (No spikes allowed)
SCHOOL TRANSPORT
  1. The school has a fleet of buses to carry students to and from the school under escort. Parents are requested to decide at the time of admission if their ward wants to avail the transport services. In case the transport service has to be discontinued, one month’s prior notice must be submitted. Student availing the transport facility will not be allowed to discontinue in the last quarter.
  2. Any change in address/transport route should be informed three days in advance. Parents must pay the difference in the Transport Fee, if applicable, before availing it. Application form for the same is available in the school office.
  3. If the child happens to be coming or going back via own transport (parent coming to pick/drop) on any particular day, the respective bus conductor must be informed about this in advance. In case you want the bus route change, even for a day, a written note should be submitted.
  4. Students who use the school transport should follow the safety rules and regulations. The bus facility of defaulters will otherwise be suspended/cancelled. Any damage done to the bus by students such as tearing of seats/seat covers will be heavily fined.
SCHOOL TRANSPORT RULES
  1. Students using the school transport facility are expected to reach their given bus stop five minutes before the given time.
  2. The bus timings may vary in the initial weeks till the route is stabilized. Also, the pick-up and drop timings may fluctuate depending on the traffic.
  3. While the buses are in motion the students must not move around in the bus. They should not put their hands/heads outside the window.
  4. Usage of abusive language, bullying, or littering in the buses is strictly prohibited.
  5. The teacher and attendants in the bus are responsible for the discipline and cleanliness of the bus.
  6. The students of primary classes will be taken care of by the attendants and are to be seated in the first half of the bus, while the older ones can be seated behind.
  7. For any complaint that is received by the driver, attendants, or the teacher in the bus against any student, the necessary disciplinary action will be taken or transport facility shall be withdrawn.
  8. The school buses will stop at the designated bus stops and not anywhere else during the course of travel. Students are not permitted to buy eatables and drinks from the wayside stop.
  9. Students are not allowed to sit in the parked buses during school hours.
  10. No change of bus route will be entertained even for a day, due to RTO rules. Heavy challan is levied for the over boarding of a school vehicle.
  11. Children will be picked up on the main road pick-up points and dropped at home
