Job Description
We have several opportunities as Aerostat Operators to provide Operations and Sustainment (O&S) support for the Persistent Surveillance Systems – Tethered (PSS-T) program in CONUS site locations primarily on the Texas/Mexico Border.
Primary Areas Of Responsibility - Successful candidates will participate in the overall, hands-on operation of the aerostat system, including launch, in-flight, recovery, and moored activities.
- Candidates will ensure all functions of the aerostat to include, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform, its Mobile Mooring Platform (MMP), Sensor Payload(s), communications and navigation systems as well as associated support equipment (Boom Lift, Forklift, All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV's), and Electrical Power Generators) and operational and working correctly.
Required Education/Experience - A high school diploma or equivalent, plus formal technical training (via military or civilian technical schools).
Basic Requirements: Must have experience in at least one of the following :
- Electronic Maintenance candidates with an in-depth background with radar, ISR, EW, communication, avionics repair, and troubleshooting.
- ISR operators with an in-depth background in airborne or ground data collection and dissemination.
- Information technology candidates with Network Installation (BICSI or Network+ or Comp T Certification); The preferred qualifications for the IT position are certification as CCIE with fiber optic certification or industry occupational specialties as a CISCO Network Administrator.
- Mechanical Maintenance candidates with experience repairing and troubleshooting diesel generators and or vehicles, automotive engines, hydraulics, and aircraft mechanical backgrounds are highly desired.
Preferred Experience: 2019-Present TCOM 22M Certified
Site operations and maintenance activities at this location are conducted 7 days a week/24 hours per day/365 days per year basis. You will be assigned to a day or night shift (typically scheduled as a 12-hour shift) which can occur on any day of the week. Planned site work-week schedules (with a nominal 12-hour/shift) will average 60 hours. In addition, it is expected you will work additional hours to cover planned and unplanned absences of other crew members as well as support other operational and/or maintenance activities. Your work-week average could be 60 hours. Please note this compensation estimate is not a guarantee and could vary up or down based on your time on site, hours actually worked or other assignment-related events.
To be qualified for more senior roles, you must have expertise in aerostat systems. Senior positions are commensurate with experience.
Must have proof of U.S. Citizenship and a Valid Driver's License. Must be able to obtain and maintain final favorable determinations for both a CBP Public Trust and DoD Secret Clearance under DoD Tier 3
