We’re hiring a Media Buying Lead & Marketing Director to scale Richard Yu’s personal brand using Instagram shoutouts, organic-style ad creatives, and story-driven marketing.
This is a hands-on performance role—not a corporate CMO gig. You’ll be writing, buying, analyzing, and optimizing daily. If you’re the kind of person who gets excited about cracking performance data, writing high-converting content, and building a brand that actually helps people—this is for you.

Your Core Role
You are the engine behind our lead generation.
More than 50% of your time will be focused on buying Instagram shoutouts, writing creatives, and reviewing performance.
This is NOT dashboard media buying (like Meta or YouTube Ads). Instead, you'll negotiate and buy shoutouts from niche Instagram pages. You’ll write native-style posts, reels, and carousels designed to generate high-DM volume.
You’ll track page performance daily—DMs, follower growth, cost per lead, and quality of traffic.
You’ll maintain a master database of top-performing shoutout pages.
You’ll write or test 1–2 new creatives every day, informed by performance metrics.
You’ll work directly with our sales team (setters and closers) to assess lead quality and adjust spend accordingly.
You’ll iterate fast based on what’s converting—and cut what isn’t.
If you haven’t run IG shoutouts before but you’re a fast learner with deep media buying experience, this can still be a great fit. You must be analytical, scrappy, and performance-obsessed. We’ll train you on the shoutout model if you bring the speed and ownership.
Requirements
You Are
Highly analytical. You love spreadsheets, dashboards, performance trends (24h / 7d / 30d), and cost-per-lead data.
Execution-focused. You want to do the work, not just manage a team.
Creative with copy. You can write like the feed, sound like Richard, and still drive massive engagement and action.
Organized. You track everything: page performance, ad spend, DM volume, booking rates.
Adaptable. You iterate fast, pivot off data, and never fall in love with a creative that isn’t working.
Clear communicator. You coordinate with shoutout pages, setters, closers, and creatives without drama.
You’ve Done This If
You’ve spent $10K–$100K+ on media buys (ideally including influencer or shoutout deals).
You’ve built systems for tracking ROI, lead flow, and media performance.
You’ve worked with high-ticket offer creators or digital brands.
You’ve written dozens of short-form ad creatives and/or high-converting captions.
You’ve worked with or inside a high-performance sales team (setters and closers).
This Role Is NOT for You If
You only have experience running Facebook/YouTube dashboards and can’t adapt.
You want to manage a team without doing hands-on work.
You’re not willing to write copy or learn new platforms.
You’ve never worked in a fast-paced environment with daily feedback loops.
