Job Description

An international logistics company in the Northwestern Columbus OH area is searching for a Logistics Coordinator role to join their team. The candidate will be mainly responsible for coordinating ocean / freight operation (Export Department). Experience in freight forwarding and international logistics is a plus. This is a full-time and direct-hire role.

Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Organize and coordinate the shipments of commercial goods
• Prepare documents for ocean export operations
• Communicates with customers’ brokers for brokerage operations
• Make sure timely and effectively timing of pickup and delivery, communicating with ship, trucking, rail and warehouse venders
• Perform internal communication with other branches and offices as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Logistics Coordinator Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 – 3 years of experience in international logistics or freight forwarder is a plus
• Experience with ERP, CRM, SAP, or other accounting database is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills
• This position is in an office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
