Job Description

Receptionist/Office Support Location Grand Junction, CO : Job Title: Receptionist/Office Support Reports To: Dr. Tabitha Emsley Hours: 15-20 hours per week. This specific position will be 1-5 M-F. Position Purpose (Summary) Psychological Associates of Western Colorado is a small private practice and the Receptionist/Office Support is critical in our daily operations. The Receptionist/Office Support completes the following tasks including, but not limited to, collecting payments and managing patient records in our electronic medical record and paper files as needed. The Receptionist/Office Support will also be asked to check patients in and out of their appointments, schedule patient appointments and answer phones as needed. The Receptionist/Office Support also scores some psychological assessments and seats patients for psychological assessment appointments. Proofreading of dictation is also a task commonly required in this position. The Receptionist/Office Support also communicates with other agencies and providers as needed for coordination of patient care. Education, license, certification, and experience: 1) Education: High School education required or equivalent 2) Licenses: No professional license required 3) Certifications: No certification required 4) Experience: No experience necessary however, experience in customer service is preferred. Required Screenings: 1) Drug Screen 2) Background Check Essential Functions: 1) Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at the job as scheduled each scheduled day. 2) Communicate necessary information to other staff members. As our office is small, it is crucial that staff work collaboratively to keep the office running smoothly. 3) Calm and respectful interactions with the patients, outside agencies and other staff is required. 4) Scan and document all appropriate information into the EMR 5) Follow and understand all standard operating procedures 6) Use of Excel and reporting tools 7) Communicate with understanding, patience, respectfulness, and kindness to help promote a positive atmosphere.
